About Exeon:
Exeon Analytics AG is a Swiss cyber tech company specialising in the protection of IT and OT networks through AI-driven security analytics. Our Network Detection & Response (NDR) platform ExeonTrace allows companies to monitor corporate networks, immediately detect cyber threats and thus effectively protect their organisation’s IT landscape - quickly, reliably, and completely hardware-free. The self-learning algorithms for detecting anomalies in network activity were developed at ETH Zurich and are based on more than ten years of academic research. Exeon was awarded as one of the top three high-tech companies at the SEF 2021 and consists of an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, machine learning experts, white hat hackers, network security specialists and business professionals. Exeon is determined to become the leading NDR provider in Europe and already counts renowned companies such as PostFinance, Planzer and SWISS Airlines among its customers.
The role:
As a Cyber Security Engineer in our Support and Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing log collectors as well as integrating ExeonTrace into the customer’s environment. You will have a multi-faceted role, working closely with various teams across the company as well as directly with customers. Your work will have a direct impact on the future scalability of ExeonTrace and customer happiness.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for building scalable log collectors for various network and application log sources and formats
- Build tooling that simplifies the management and configuration of the ExeonTrace core, log collectors and other supporting software components
- Understand the daily security challenges our customers are facing with regards to threat detection and translate them into specifications for further ExeonTrace development
- Support customers directly with installation, configuration and maintenance of their ExeonTrace instances
- Contribute to the overall customer support function together with the rest of your Support and Engineering colleagues
What you can expect from us:
Exeon offers an open company culture that values and encourages diversity, teamwork and a growth mindset. Our goal is to provide our employees with an exciting, supportive and motivating environment for personal growth and career development while ensuring that our team maintains a healthy work-life balance. We strive to achieve this by offering:
- An exciting and impactful job in a fast-growing Swiss cyber tech company expanding across Europe with manifold opportunities to shape your professional profile.
- Working in close collaboration with our interdisciplinary team and learning from our Security Experts, Data Scientists, and Business Professionals.
- Taking over responsibilities quickly and help shape and promote a cutting-edge security software.
- A high degree of trust, independence and flexibility, also in terms of working hours and place of work (remote or in the office).
- A competitive salary and appealing benefits package.
What you bring along:
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic cyber security professional who is comfortable in a high-paced start-up environment and who shares our values. You should be confident with solving problems independently and communicating easily with both internal teams and directly with customers. You should also:
- Be comfortable with working in a largely remote team where communication is key to successful collaboration and impact. We are an English-speaking team but German fluency is a must when communicating to customers.
- Bring practical experience as a detection engineer, cyber security analyst, or experience in the field of application security
- Be proficient in software engineering with general-purpose or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash); and have experience with UNIX operating systems and container management
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience, with a specialization in IT/OT security (networking and/or application security)
- Understand the current threat landscape, attack patterns and common cyber security frameworks, ideally including an understanding of application analytics
Nice to haves:
- Exposure to direct contact with customers. Delighting them while still keeping the bigger picture in focus and acting as a technical brand ambassador.
- Experience with security alert and incident analysis or(application security) detection engineering
