Senior Marketing Manager, Specialty and Respiratory
Lead the respiratory and specialty care marketing team at GSK Switzerland to define and implement competitive strategies, achieve performance targets, and address unmet patient needs. Drive launch plans for new assets to secure future success in high-need therapy areas. Foster a collaborative work environment that embodies GSK's core values, ensuring innovation and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Planning: Lead the marketing team and define the strategy for a diverse portfolio of products across Specialty care, Respiratory and Rheumatology. Set strategic direction for the sales team and lead the business planning processes, ensuring timely input from key functions and alignment with global strategy.
- Product Launch Leadership: Oversee the launch of new products and indications. Prepare and present plans with the broader team for key launch milestones, including launch readiness and go/no-go reviews.
- Competitor Readiness: Develop and implement strategies to maintain and enhance performance in response to competitor activities and launches.
- Budget and Performance Management: Own and manage the marketing budget to maximize return on investment. Represent Switzerland in performance discussions with regional and global stakeholders, ensuring delivery of ambitious market share and financial targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide cross-functional leadership and foster collaboration with key departments, including medical, supply, regulatory, sales, marketing, market access, and communication. to understand customer needs and market insights, driving strategy and activities.
- Agile Implementation and Innovation: Promote agile ways of working within the team to enhance efficiency and encourage the adoption of innovative technologies. Represent Switzerland in global brand team discussions to ensure locally relevant content that addresses competitor challenges in the Swiss market.
- Customer Engagement and Insights: Engage with key customers to understand market barriers, opportunities, and challenges. Lead the cross-functional healthcare professional (HCP) engagement strategy across brands and indications, developing the event agenda in collaboration with the HCP Engagement department.
- Team Development: Support the development of team members in alignment with their career ambitions and development plans.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all strategies and executions align with our internal and external frameworks, including the GSK Code, local legal requirements, and the Swiss pharma code, consistently doing the right thing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven leadership in cross-functional team management with marketing and sales expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence at all management levels.
- Strong collaboration skills for managing complex projects across functions.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing multi-channel strategies, including digital campaigns.
- Fluent in German and English, French would be a plus.
- Experience with financial forecasting and budget managemen
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Launch experience
- In-depth knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system and the external environment.
- Experience from the respiratory & Immunology therapeutical area
- Highly customer and patient-focused with strong analytical ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving and exciting environment, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to test and learn for continuous improvement.
- Direct line manager experience
