We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reserving Actuarial Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role within our organization. In this position, you will be entrusted with leading a dedicated team of actuaries, delivering comprehensive Reserving Actuarial Services for our Business Unit in the Benelux region, as well as overseeing the reserving activities for the Commercial Insurance segment in Italy.
As a key member of the leadership team for Commercial Insurance Reserving across the EMEA region, you will play an instrumental role in shaping and refining our reserving practices. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions, while also focusing on the continuous development and growth of the broader team. By fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency, you will help drive the implementation of best practices and process improvements, ensuring that our actuarial services deliver maximum value to the business.

What you will do
- Conduct actuarial analysis, including loss projections, technical reserve calculations for gross and reinsurance layers, and cash flow projections, adhering to Zurich's guidelines and external regulations
- Prepare and report quarterly results, ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet and profit & loss statements under IFRS, as well as maintaining appropriate Solvency II technical provisions
- Serve as a Business Partner to local teams in the assigned countries, providing valuable insights on portfolio performance and assisting in the formulation of business strategies and financial plans
- Lead and manage projects focused on improving, automating, and innovating our Actuarial methods and processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Support the professional development of your team by coordinating activities, providing mentorship, and fostering an environment of continuous learning
What you bring
- A Master’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related field, along with qualifications as a certified actuary and a minimum of 5 years of experience in non-life insurance
- Proven leadership abilities, demonstrating the capacity to work independently while thriving under pressure, and adhering to tight deadlines
- Proficient in effectively communicating complex actuarial concepts to senior stakeholders, including local and regional management teams.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in German, French and/or Italian considered as an asset
- Strong programming skills, with experience in Python and VBA seen as advantageous
