The Position

Finance plays a pivotal role as an enabling function, navigating a diverse and complex value chain efficiently and effectively in support of the success for the Roche Group as a leading science company. Moreover, as our innovation pipeline grows in its disease therapeutic diversity and technology platforms, Finance must play a critical role in ensuring investments in areas that will drive step change become multiplicative rather than additive.
In line with the vision laid out in the Finance White Paper, the R&D Finance Network supports our Core R&D Units (PD, gRED, pRED & CiCoR) and is focused on Finance Enterprise Partnering, fostering strong, trustful relationships based on a shared commitment to a greater impact for patients and the company as whole. Our R&D Finance operating model enables Finance Enterprise Partners to work as a network in one team.
The position offers an opportunity to acquire a comprehensive understanding of business and finance processes within a large pharmaceutical organization. You will work with multiple systems and data sources, gaining valuable insights into Roche's R&D portfolio and commercial product landscape. This role will help you strengthen your analytical and reporting skills while discovering the planning process for large-scale R&D projects and functions. Additionally, you'll gain hands-on work experience in a truly global and multinational team.
Your main responsibilities could include:

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial master data through validation and accurate recognition.

Partner closely with R&D Finance Enterprise Partners (FEPs) and the Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE) to support Analytics & Insights needs and deliverables.

Explore and implement innovative solutions for troubleshooting, ad-hoc, and recurring requests from Business and Finance.

Contribute to strategic priorities, including Capacity Exercise, Study Excellence, RDE, and ASPIRE, by providing data, analytics, and insights.

Assist with cleanup activities and support the delivery of ongoing financial outcomes.

Enhance the collaboration model between R&D Finance, eCoE, and other finance units.

Promote innovation and foster a digital culture across the R&D Finance network.
Who you are:

You graduated as a Master student within 12 months in Finance, Economics, Business Management or related field

You are able to work under pressure, passionate about challenges, willing to learn by doing and results oriented.

Ability to multi-task and adjust to a fast driven, complex working environment

A self starter and fast learner with an ability to work on their own on topics

Analytical proficiency with the ability to transfer solutions into practice

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint/GoogleSlides skills is a must

Basic accounting/Financial knowledge is required

Proficiency in English
Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents
