Your tasks
As the Sales Director for laboratory and biomedical research equipment, you will develop and implement sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. You will have a deep understanding of the laboratory and biomedical research industry, combined with strong sales acumen and leadership skills.
Compensation: $170,000-$180,000 / year + bonus
Travel: up to 50% mostly domestic, with occasional international
How you will impact Belimed and our clients
Manage sales of Lab and Biomedical Research equipment to meet sales and performance expectations
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Lab & BMR sector
Provide ongoing support to the team focused on the Lab & BMR business unit
Drive the sales pipeline and ensure timely closure of deals, focusing on key accounts and major opportunities
Act as primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction
Develop tailored equipment solutions for clients based on their specific research and operations requirements
Lead, mentor and manage support staff and distributor network to maximize performance
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, reps, planners and decision makers
Collaborate with bid manager, customer service, project management and service to ensure smooth process from quotation to completion of projects
Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports and updates for the executive team
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows and customer meetings to promote equipment and services
Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns to support lead generation and brand visibility
Negotiate and manage contracts during and after the sales and/or RFP process
Create and conduct product and technical presentations for clients and stakeholders
Enter and maintain sales activity and account information in Salesforce in support of team and organizational reporting
Maintain in-depth knowledge of laboratory and biomedical research equipment
What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant field
10+ years of sales experience within the laboratory or biomedical research capital equipment industry
5+ years in a leadership role in sales / project management
Knowledge and experience in negotiating and developing contract proposals, bid packages, documents, letters of intent, and other relevant agreements
Demonstrated success in the complex process of capital equipment purchases and project management in the Lab & BMR space
Possess a tenacious and resilient mentality that drives for results
Demonstrated action-oriented attitude, as well as strong self-motivation, drive, and persistence
Ability to provide process leadership throughout the sales cycle
Ability to influence and develop team members with informal authority
Demonstrated ability to take personal ownership in clients and process
Established knowledge about and ability to create a competitive differential by identifying and developing the right solutions
Proven problem-solving skills that leverage logic and other methods to solve complex situations
Exceptional and adaptable presentation skills for a variety of settings
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Effectively utilize and maintain sales tools to manage market and strategic business plans
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
