The Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Solvias AG plays a critical hands-on role in managing and enhancing the company's infrastructure through direct engineering expertise, implementation of new technologies, effective backup and restore strategies, and leveraging Microsoft and cloud-based tools. This position is key to driving operational excellence, infrastructure reliability, and technological growth.
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
- Actively participate in the design, configuration, deployment, and support of Solvias’ infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
- Implement and maintain innovative technologies to optimize infrastructure performance and reliability.
- Execute robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring operational continuity and minimal downtime.
- Provide expert-level hands-on support and maintenance of Microsoft technologies such as Azure infrastructure, Office 365, Teams, Active Directory, and related tools.
- Collaborate directly with internal teams to identify infrastructure requirements and implement technical solutions.
- Ensure detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures, facilitating knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
- Proactively monitor system performance and security, recommending enhancements and responding quickly to infrastructure incidents.
- Engage closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure all infrastructure operations comply with security policies and regulatory standards.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Active Directory).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud solutions (Azure, AWS), storage, and networking.
- Proficient with automation, scripting, and configuration tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences) preferred.
