Job DescriptionEFG Bank, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Global COO Office, this role is integral to our mission of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and driving financial excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial controlling, with a particular focus on maximizing cost savings within IT functions.
Missions Description:- Financial Controlling: Oversee the financial controlling processes, ensuring accuracy and providing inputs for all reporting requirements internally.
- Cost Management : Develop and implement strategies to maximize cost savings, particularly within the IT function, whilst adhering to capitalization rules and other complex financial guidelines.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the Global COO and other senior stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with and influence various functional heads and local COOs to understand their financial challenges and provide guidance on cost management and planning.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills and experience
- Educational Background: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent are highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial controlling, with a strong focus on cost management and budgeting within the IT function. Experience in the banking sector is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and tools, with a solid understanding of financial reporting guidelines and capitalization rules.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive and innovative approach by “being comfortable in the detail”, with a strong desire to drive financial performance and contribute to the overall success of the bank.
