As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Tax Manager and ensuring compliance with tax regulations across various jurisdictions. This position involves advising on strategic projects, offering timely input to the business, tax planning, and compliance support. Operating within a complex and dynamic international regulatory landscape, your responsibilities encompass both direct and indirect tax aspects for the entire Group.
• Ensure compliance with indirect tax obligations globally, with a specific focus on VAT, sales taxes, and other indirect taxes for all Group entities. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Assist in defining, designing, and implementing the transfer pricing model and documentation for group entities in alignment with the MSC tax strategy. Develop analyses, reports, and policies regarding international transfer pricing regulations.
• Analyse tax laws in relevant jurisdictions to guide business decisions towards the most efficient corporate tax structure, supply chain model, and indirect tax set-up
• Participate in ad-hoc tax projects aimed at enhancing compliance, optimising tax costs, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Group's tax processes.
• Degree in Law and/or Economics plus a formal tax qualification
• 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience in international tax
• Profound knowledge of corporation and international tax law and practical applications
• Prior experience in an in-house tax department is a plus
• Ability to provide clear tax guidance to non-tax professionals
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and processes
• Experience in dealing with tax challenges in developing countries and complex organisational structures.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including data collection and utilisation for solution delivery.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in business English.
• Proven track record in leading, directing, and coordinating projects and initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
