Description
The Sea Freight Forwarding Officer (d/f/m) will be responsible for the following task area:
- Reserve the main transport with boat, hubs and carriers
- Issue transportation documents (SWB, BL, HBL), edit them and send them to the carrier and customer.
- Communicate transport information (s) to customer(s) and / or Network
- Charge the file to customer(s) or network and sent the documents (invoices, transports documentations…) to the concerned third party (account department, customer(s), network…)
- Check and validate supplier invoices
- Check transport execution at each step, according to Incoterms liability (delivery, shipment...) and realization conditions (state of the goods, respect of instructions ...)
- File up and forward information relative to job file follow up, according to Incoterms to customer (s), network and hierarchy
- Close and close and forward following the applicable procedure
Profile
In order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:
- Apprenticeship in freight forwarding/logistics/Export/Import and first practical experience OR several years hands-on experience in sea freight forwarding
- CargoWise experience is a big plus
- Hardworking team player with passion for this industry
- Fluent English, Flemish/Dutch is a huge plus
