Job Description Summary
The Market Development Lead is responsible for driving business growth in the targeted growth portfolios by identifying market expansion opportunities, targeting new stakeholders within the healthcare system and thereby executing strategic plans in collaboration with the leadership team in country. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in sales, marketing, and business development to identify and uncover new opportunities that can generate long term revenue nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with local commercial and marketing team to execute market development strategy which supports strategic plan of the business

Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective product positioning and messaging.

Identify & engage with new stakeholders like government organizations, industry advocacy groups, professional organizations etc. at are critical for long term sustainable business growth beyond the current primary call points. (lab, nurse, procurement)

Support the Business Development Manager in identifying, evaluating, and recommending new opportunities to the management by building a strong business case and rationale

Create and maintain a proper size of pipeline deal opportunities with management alignment on their priorities

Remain abreast of market trends, dynamics and engages the organization to continually stay ahead of competition.

Translate potential customer and market needs to unique and innovative new business opportunities for the company

Collaborate closely with commercial and marketing teams to track and manage ongoing strategic opportunities contributing to the long-term strategic plan outlined by the business.

Actively work in the field to present BD solution and drive business leads in the market

Build and maintain industry contacts with strategic customers and partners

Leverage existing key contacts to generate leads and continuously foster new opportunities

Prepare and present regular reports on market development activities and results to senior management.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and knowledge of the clinical and life sciences markets coupled with strong business acumen.

Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Business/Marketing/ Biological/ Medical Sciences/ Medical technology required

Minimum 3 years of experience working with/in government/policy-making organizations focusing on healthcare or related fields

Preferable experience in sales and key account management demonstrating stakeholder relationship development and management
