Internship: strategic and operational Coordinator
Job Description
The Reinsurance Specialty Lines represent 25% of the overall P&C business, or ~2.5bn€ of GWP, and is made of 7 Lines of Businesses (Lobs), with a worldwide geographical footprint and team members spread throughout the world, leveraging on SCOR’s Tier I franchise.
This role is essential for ensuring the efficient execution of the Forward 2026 strategic plan for the Business Unit, for all non-operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, preferably in mathematics or science, and possess a high level of problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted executive support and coordinator to the Head of Specialty Lines in the 4 core underwriting activities:
- Technical Performance monitoring
- Strategy Plan / Business Initiatives
- Underwriting plan
- Treaty Renewals
Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities
- Strategic Support: Assist the Head of Specialty Lines in developing and implementing strategic initiatives. Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Coordination: Oversee the coordination of cross-functional projects such as the UW Plan, the renewal monitoring etc. as well as the strategic initiatives. Ensure alignment and effective communication between Lob’s and departments.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration and ensure stakeholder engagement.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives. Provide regular updates and reports to the specialty lines management team.
- Communication: Handle internal and external communications on behalf of the Head of Specialty Lines. Prepare presentations, reports, and other supports as needed.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for improvement in organizational processes. Implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a back-up and representation of the Head of Specialty Lines
Required experience & competencies
- Excellent communication skills and command in English, knowledge of French is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management abilities.
- High level of technical proficiency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Required Education
University degree in Mathematics, Science, Analytics or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
