Job description
Position:
Amaris Consulting is looking for an experienced Splunk Administrator to support its clients in their technological projects. You will be responsible for maintaining and managing Splunk clusters, developing Splunk apps, and optimizing performance and access control.
🔥 Your responsibilities:

You will manage indexer and search head clusters inSplunkto ensure optimal performance and reliability.

You will manage hundreds of forwarders using a deployment server for efficient data handling.

You will troubleshoot internal issues and fine-tune system performance to enhance operational efficiency.

You will upgrade tiers and developSplunkapps, including data ingestion, dashboards, reports, and alerts.

You will optimize search queries and dashboards to improve user experience and data retrieval speed.

You will implement efficient access control rules to secure data and manage user permissions.

You will architect log-based application monitoring beyond basicSplunkapp engineering for comprehensive insights.

You will collect and exploit metrics (not traces) inSplunkto drive data-driven decisions.

You will utilizeAnsiblefor automation and demonstrate strong scripting capabilities, aiming to transition toAnsible.

You will deploy and manage containers in production with Docker and utilizeGitLabCI/CD for streamlined development processes, while understandingLinuxsystem administration, specificallyRed Hat-based distributions.
🎯 Your profile:

You have 2 or more years of experience as aSplunkadministrator and experience with IT Service Intelligence or IT essential works is a plus.

You have a good understanding ofLinuxsystem administration, specificallyRed Hat-based distributions.

You have experience usingGitwith a team, in projects, and for production, and experience withGitLabCI/CD is a plus.

You have experience deploying and managing containers in production with Docker and understand what ETLs do; experience with Cribl is a plus.

You have experience with OpenTelemetry, particularly deploying the collector and implementing data collection, and exposure to Dynatrace; experience with Dynatrace is a plus.

You have good interpersonal skills, including the ability to conduct presentations and coach others around monitoring-related topics, and you are fluent in French and English.
