to strengthen our international marketing team and to support the Lead Social Media Manager with the implementation of our marketing campaigns on Social Media platforms at our headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
In your day-to-day work, you will be managing our Social Media communication content and strategy deployment for our global cigar brands such as AVO Cigars and Camacho Cigars by working closely with our brand managers, designers, and other key stakeholders. The role requires passion and professional knowledge of social media communication aiming at organic growth, in particular on Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube. We are seeking a highly motivated Social Media Manager to support and accelerate digital consumer engagement strategies and significant long-term growth for our brand portfolio of premium cigars and accessories.
Responsibilities
- Developing a global social media strategy in alignment with the brand team
- Writing impactful and meaningful content that meets the brand's communication style
- Planning, implementing, maintaining, distributing, and supervising the operation of the various social media platforms and ensuring a coherent functionality, layout, content, tone of voice, design, and compliance according to campaign planning
- Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media activities and measuring performance in alignment with the Lead Social Media Manager
- Generating reports while monitoring and interpreting social media analytics, identify areas of improvement and develop measures to enhance the performance and digital strategy
- Finding creative solutions to define and implement social media strategies in a highly regulated environment to encourage engagement, raise brand awareness, and expand our community
- Working closely with the teams of brand management, e-commerce, commercial, IT, legal, corporate communications, and external agencies to ensure the correct deployment of content
- Responding and engaging with the community in a timely manner to drive brand engagement and expand community and brand influencer efforts
- Establishing relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network
- Staying up to date on emerging trends in social media and generating new ideas to draw the audience's attention
Qualifications and Experience
You are an expert in social media marketing who will proactively drive the global B2C communication of our brands. In your daily work, you are flexible, pragmatic, analytic, hands-on, and above all, result-focused. You are a motivated, highly organised person, who performs well under pressure and shows a genuine interest in premium products. Additionally, you offer:
- Federal VET Diploma in Commerce ideally with a further education in digital marketing, communication, or related field
- 2+ years of professional content curation and social media management, preferably in a highly regulated industry and/or luxury environment
- Proven track record of organic growing and retaining of social audiences (Instagram and YouTube)
- Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms (Instagram and YouTube)
- Proficient in using social media management tools (preferably Sprout Social)
- Profound expertise in community management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German is desirable
- First work experience in developing social media graphic assets (Instagram, Facebook) for various desktops and mobile devices is a plus
- Ability to manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Excellent engagement & interpersonal skills with a high degree of multicultural awareness
- Work experience in a cross-functional team
- A keen eye for aesthetics, details, and accuracy
- Willingness to work flexible work schedules
