Your tasks

Are you interested in scientific computing and software quality assurance? Do you want hands-on experience writing automated test suites for software used in cutting-edge research?

We are looking for a Summer Student to join our team ( https://www.psi.ch/en/awi ) and help improve the reliability of our software. Your work will directly contribute to scientific experiments at PSI's photon facilities ( https://www.psi.ch/en/cps/facilities ) by ensuring our tools are robust and error-free.

Your tasks will be:

Develop automated test suites for scientific software

Design and implement unit and integration tests

Work closely with developers to improve code quality and reliability

Learn best practices in software testing and quality assurance

Your profile

You are in your last year of Bachelor’s studies or in your Master's studies in computer science, a natural science or engineering

You have a good working knowledge of English and good Python skills
