MISSION & CONTEXT:
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Consolidation and Group Reporting Controller to reinforce our Group Consolidation Team! In this role, you will participate in the preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements each quarter, in the monthly closing and in the consolidation of budget and forecasts for top management according to the Group financial planning.
Group accounts are closed in accordance with IFRS requirements.
The position is based in Plan-Les-Ouates (near Geneva) and reports to the Group Accounting and Consolidation Director.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, analyze and release of the audited Group financial statements: review of local data, assistance to the local teams to report their figures, IFRS entries, tax proof, cash flow and equity reconciliation as well as preparation of the notes to the financial statements
- Contribute to the implementation of the new consolidation and finance IT tool
- Integrate newly acquired brands into the Group's reporting framework and standards
- Participate in the merger and acquisition projects, if any: purchase price allocation, integration and first accounting under IFRS and in relation with external auditors
- Manage the relation with external auditors for ordinary requests during the audited closings
- Be in relation with our local finance teams, in all our subsidiaries worldwide (guidelines, assistance, etc.)
- Take part of the non-current assets impairment test campaign, twice a year
- Participate in the consolidation of budgets and forecasts with the Group FP&A team
- Implement new IFRS rules, if any, and ensure continuous improvement of Group standards and IT solutions
- Contribute to develop the Group's accounting manual and reporting guidelines
- Provide ad hoc analysis to the top management
HOW YOU CAN FIT:
- Master's Degree in Finance
- +5 years' proven expertise in a similar position in industry or services Group
- Extensive knowledge of statutory consolidation and accounting under IFRS
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Strong appetite for IT solutions, ideally experience with the implementation of a new consolidation tool
- Solid experience in M&A projects with performance of purchase price allocation and dedicated consolidation entries
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise guidance and instructions to subsidiaries and to communicate with all our stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure
- High level of autonomy, accountable with a proactive approach & continuous improvement mindset
- Strong collaborative and team spirit;
- Appetite for change and challenges and at ease in an international fast-paced environment with remote & multicultural teams.
