Technical Business Unit Manager

Aufgaben

We are seeking a proactive Technical Business Unit Manager to lead our operations in Bulgaria! If you
are a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in road and building
construction, this is an opportunity to take on a strategic leadership role and
contribute to the long-term success of our operations.

• Active acquisition of contracts and liaison with clients, partners, suppliers & subcontractors;
• Responsible for pricing, contract elaboration and contract signing in agreement with commercial management;
• Negotiations with the employer about major questions of construction execution, about interpretation, changes and extensions of construction contracts;
• Representation of our company in Joint Ventures;
• Briefing of site management and responsible supervision of all legal, safety related and commercial requirements in accordance with the contracts;
• Negotiation and conclusion of subcontractor contracts in agreement with the sub-division management and the commercial business unit manager;
• Award and supervision of construction contracts in the area of responsibility together with the responsible commercial agent;
• Contribution in preparation of monthly and yearly commercial closing in agreement with the Subdivision management;
• Contribution in preparation and supervision of financial forecast in agreement with the Subdivision management;
• Contribution in monthly reporting to the Subdivision management;
• Leading of all technical employees of the business unit;
• Regularly information and coordination with the Subdivision management in all important technical and personnel relevant tasks and problems;
• Contribution in personnel planning and personnel selection;
• Coordination of staff allocation;
• Employee development (yearly appraisal interviews, agreement of work targets and development measures, supervision of results);
• Development of team building within the business unit, the Subdivision and the group.

Qualifikationen

• Education: University degree in Transport Infrastructure or Building Construction (Dipl.Eng.);
• Several years experience in a leading position in a construction company;
• Leadership personality with the ability to inspire and bind human beings;
• Strengthen entrepreneurial thinking and action;
• Well-versed knowledge in MS-Office und accomplished use with calculation programs (e.g. iTWO);
• Dedicated commitment, flexibility, team player, autonomy;
• Autonomous and engaged working method and strong communication skills;
• Better-than-average flexibility and capacity.
