The Franke Coffee Systems division is a leading global provider of state-of-the-art solutions for professional coffee making. As the Head of Operational Procurement of the Coffee Systems Division, you will lead a team of operational buyers and drive all operational procurement and planning activities to ensure timely and efficient supply of materials for production. Using sales forecasts, budget inputs, incoming orders, and historical customer behavior, you will develop robust planning strategies. You will also be accountable for inventory health, minimizing obsolete or slow-moving stock, and increasing stock turnover. In this role, you will lead the entire Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring full alignment across demand, supply, and inventory strategies to support business goals

- Leadership and Team Management: Responsible for the professional and personnel management of operational procurement team (8 employees) including performance management, recruiting, talent management.
- Supplier Coordination: Expanding and maintaining supplier relationships. Oversee timely placement and tracking of purchase orders to ensure reliable material availability. Collaborate with the strategic sourcing team on supplier performance, delivery reliability, and cost optimization.
- Inventory Management & Warehouse Optimization: Monitor and improve inventory performance through KPIs. Optimizing the warehouse according to target specifications, including warehouse rotation, monitoring warehouse value, and conducting scrapping actions.
- Forecast Management & Demand Planning: Responsible for forecast management, including planning materialization for production and spare parts, as well as the phase-in and phase-out of all components.
- Sales & Operations Planning: Lead the full S&OP process, ensuring effective coordination between demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and business objectives. Organize and facilitate cross-functional S&OP meetings with all stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Finance, and R&D), including demand reviews, supply reviews, and Executive S&OP.
- Indirect Spend: Conducting annual supplier negotiations , supplier evaluation and consolidation, negotiating delivery and payment terms, monitoring price and quality requirements, contract management, and achieving savings.
- Process Optimization: Optimizing, standardizing, and further developing operational procurement processes, workflows and data accuracy, including customs clearance, invoice control, transportation.
- Preferred engineering background in the mechanical, industrial, or electrical field
- Further education: Management, leadership, and/or a technical study program
- Many years of experience: Operational procurement or supply chain with leadership responsibility
- Language skills: Fluent in written and spoken German and English
- IT skills: Very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office (Excel)
- Key competencies: Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Personal attributes: High degree of initiative, independence, and sense of responsibility; entrepreneurial and strategic thinking mindset
- Work style: Hands-on mentality and team player
