Bulk Manufacturing at CSL Behring Bern
A variety of life-saving biopharmaceuticals is manufactured at the Bern site, from plasma fractionation to packaging of the final product. In Bulk manufacturing, we purify fractionated starting materials using well-established and modern large-scale purification techniques to produce highly purified, “ready to fill” bulk products of the highest pharmaceutical quality. Each bulk product is manufactured in dedicated, highly automated, and very well-maintained manufacturing facilities by engaged, passionate, and effective teams, consisting of operators, team leaders, safety officers, and scientific-/administrative support functions under the leadership of the facility owner. Your key objective is to produce top-tier results in safety, quality, reliability, innovation, and people. We are now opening a Senior Manager position to replace the former incumbent and are looking for the next talent to join our team.
About the job
As a senior manager of the Albumin Bulk Facility, you
- Are responsible for the safety of your employees and the technical workplace safety, including instruction, training, establishment of operating procedures, and continuous education in your area. You assure that all safety guidelines and rules are always strictly followed.
- Ensure reliable quantitative and qualitative bulk product output according to budget.
- Ensure adherence to the highest product quality standards to the “right first time”, “continuous improvement” and “continuous inspection readiness” approach.
- Gain/maintain know-how for current technology trends and keep the facility, systems, and processes up to date.
- Initiate, support, and manage initiatives and projects to maintain operational excellence and the CAPEX portfolio.
- Care about your people, show talent in people acquisition, and passion for people development.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor/master’s degree (preferred) in a scientific/technical discipline
- Minimum 2-3 years of successful experience in pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry in advanced operational functions/leadership required.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written in German and English)
