Your role:
- Perform internal audits, delivering risk-based and objective assurance;
- Prepare clear audit reports with factual observations and actionable recommendations, and follow up on their implementation.
- Contribute to creating risk-based audit plans for CERN and its Pension Fund;
- Support the Audit Committee meetings;
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including External Auditors;
- Ensure alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards;
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives;
- Stay informed on CERN activities and professional developments through training.

Desired qualifications
- Knowledge or experience in IT auditing or IT systems.
- Experience with ESG audits.
- Familiarity with accounting principles.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CA/CPA are a plus.
- Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in auditing, accounting, finance, economics (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
Additional Information
Job closing date: 17 January 2025 at 23:59 AM (midnight) CET.
Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
