Your Crew
Join our multidisciplinary team of 11 engineers, where you’ll help in the industrialization and support of serial production of launch vehicle structures. You’ll work in a multicultural environment, closely collaborating with development engineering and our operations organization, engaging with a broad range of technologies. Your Mission
- Conducts simple to complex design improvement tasks applying our standard Catia CAD system, receives related supervision as needed. Applies our digital tools related to the Change, NC and Design Release process
- Writes and reviews technical documentation, project related deliverables and other specifications related to his field of work. Adapts Design documentation for the product- and mission-specific requirements.
- Utilizes task management techniques / tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Proactively communicates and aligns cross-functionally with the adjacent engineering fields and department outside engineering such as operations, quality, procurement and other teams
- Supports processes and product continuous improvements to deliver in line with customer quality, cost, and demand. Propose market-oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies and production processes, including harmonisation tasks within product families, with DtC and DfM in mind
- Understands and complies with internal BPM. Challenges and develops the actual processes in line with market trends and business needs
- Participates in (Non Conformance Review Board) according to the NC process. Actively propose technical solutions in his field of activity. Carries out technical risk management and perform Root Cause Analysis
- Secures CAPA corrective and preventive measures. Implements Lessons Learned
- Represents his engineering field during working meetings and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors
- Supports in his engineering field during product development. Is the local technical authority in his field for the defined scope and first level of technical escalations
- Builds-up and maintains relevant contact with external stakeholders
- Task Manager role / Work Package owner. Owns technical, budget and schedule responsibility for fulfilment of tasks assigned by projects, provide routine progress reporting as agreed
Your Story
- Bachelor or other or similar higher degree based on a Designer apprenticeship, e.g. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as design engineer or equivalent role in a relevant engineering discipline
- Knowledge of project task management techniques and tools
- Extended CAD software and composite experience, preferably with Catia V5 and V6, PLM (e.g. Enovia or Teamcenter)
- Proficient in German and English
- Nice to have’s:
- Knowledge of the space industry and market
- Experience in large composite structures
