Job Summary:
The candidate will be performing laboratory-based RF testing with a good working knowledge of both high-speed digital semiconductor testing and optical component testing and a strong fundamental lab-based test engineering knowledge. It’s a great opportunity to develop and share their engineering knowledge within a progressive engineering team; working on leading edge technology and industry shaping / disrupting semiconductor devises that have already helped to shape and progress the internet.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in new product design meetings and drive test feature development as required for the successful evaluation of new products.
- Assist in designing the validation solution development for new products (software/hardware/documentation).
- Identification of bench-top test equipment for the validation of new products.
- Generation of test equipment automation software using Python or Labview
- Collaborate with designers, product, test and applications engineers.
- Participate in validation review meetings.
- Creation of validation reports.
- Testing of high speed optical components, IC’s or modules.
- Taking high speed measurements in a lab environment on products operating at data rates of 10Gbit/s and above.
- Utilising existing knowledge of high speed signal integrity for schematic entry / layout using Altium PCB tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BSc/MSc in EE/ECE or HNC / HND with 6 years relevant work experience.
- Able to work under pressure in a highly paced, dynamic R&D environment
- Excellent team-player who positively interacts and shares knowledge.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of self-study/training/learning.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
