Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.</p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p></p><p>Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division <b><span>(EPD)</span></b> is looking for a</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p><b>Global Brand Manager Gastro</b></p><p><span>for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Primary<span> </span>Job<span> </span><span>Function:</span></span></b></p><p><span>Define the business and marketing strategy for the sustainable growth of the Gastro brands portfolio in key markets, implement marketing plans and tactics to ensure the full support of the regions and affiliates, leading to commercial success. </span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Core<span> </span>Job<span> </span><span>Responsibilities:</span></span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Develop and<span> </span>champion<span> </span>the marketing<span> </span>brand<span> </span>plans<span> </span>designed<span> </span>to<span> </span>further<span> </span>grow<span> </span>Gastro brands in scope<span> </span>in its<span> </span>key<span> </span>indications, outperforming key<span> </span>competitors, supporting the overall brands growth above the<span> </span>market.<span> </span>The plans should identify<span> </span>future<span> </span>trends<span> </span>and<span> </span>address all<span> </span>key<span> </span>issues, opportunities and Critical<span> </span>Success Factors.<span> </span>The<span> </span>plans should cover all promotional channels including DTC communication.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Initiate important market insights/<span> </span>market research to answer key questions posed<span> </span>by<span> </span>the brand focusing on unmet needs and customer experience and utilizing these insights into activation strategy.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop global<span> </span>inspirational goals<span> </span>for<span> </span>the Brands indications and<span> </span>drive<span> </span>the brand positioning, competitive differentiation, and messaging.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Design, plan and coordinate </span><span>execution, </span><span>and monitor key marketing programs for the Brands indications through portfolio<span> </span>selling<span> </span>approach, multi-channel execution and<span> </span>Direct<span> </span>to consumer promotion to engage key customers (HCP/ Pharmacist/<span> </span>Patient).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Create<span> </span>global launch<span> </span>plan for<span> </span>Brands<span> </span>indications,<span> </span>including<span> </span>priorities<span> </span>to<span> </span>ensure<span> </span>alignment<span> </span>and<span> </span>execution<span> </span>of <span>plan,<span> </span>and<span> </span>closely<span> </span>track<span> </span>the<span> </span>implementation<span> </span>at<span> </span>the<span> </span>affiliate<span> </span>level.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span>Communicate and align local marketing and sales teams<span> </span>to action the marketing programs. Review, challenge and<span> </span>remediate as needed affiliate marketing plans<span> </span>to </span><span>ensure </span><span>that<span> </span>they<span> </span>are within<span> </span>the strategy.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure optimal use of<span> </span>the<span> </span>planned promotional support budget to deliver on<span> </span>the<span> </span>top<span> </span>line<span> </span>and<span> </span>bottom line of the<span> </span>brand.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Create monitoring mechanisms to<span> </span>monitor execution of marketing programs, prepare monthly report<span> </span>for senior management for the Product, performance dashboard, monthly highlights, and other ad-hoc<span> </span>reports and presentation as appropriate.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinate<span> </span>and<span> </span>drive<span> </span>sharing<span> </span>best<span> </span>practice<span> </span>across<span> </span>regions<span> </span>and<span> </span><span>affiliates.</span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum <span>Education:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>University degree (ideally Science and/or Business) with a preference for it to be complemented by an MBA or post graduate marketing qualification.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Experience/Training <span>Required:</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><span>Experience:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Min. 5 years pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience in an affiliate or region, ideally including exposure to global project initiatives</p></li><li><p>Successful experience in Rx brand management preferably managing Gastro franchise <span>products</span></p></li><li><p>Successful experience in OTC brand management and DTC campaigns <span>creation</span></p></li><li><p>Experience working on Emerging Markets scope is an important <span>advantage</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Languages:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Fluency in English.
