Our exclusive client is a Captive Insurance company of a leading global energy group. Their core mission is to internally insure risks instead of relying on external insurers. To support their growing team of five professionals, we are looking for an experienced Risk & Insurance Specialist with strong analytical and insurance expertise.

About the role
The Insurance Advisor is responsible for the end-to-end (non-life) insurance lifecycle process for a designated geographical region within the Insurance Operations Team.
The position includes the following tasks and responsibilities:
Underwriting:- Risk assessment and risk acceptance of commercial market placements
- Process all insurance-related documents, including data entry and administration of insurance policies and invoices in the IT insurance system
- Check of contractual documents
- Supporting the main renewal process
- Daily interaction with internal colleagues (e.g. Risk Management) and external business partners (e.g. brokers, insurance companies)
- Drive continuous improvement of Insurance Operations and Underwriting Processes within own area of responsibility
- Reviewing and booking of incoming closings, including interaction with brokers
- Responsibility of accounts receivables process, including reviewing and confirming statement of accounts and verifying that respective amounts are booked and paired
- Review return payments and prepare payment requests
- Credit control
- Monitoring and reporting tasks
Skills and Requirements: You are:
- A business administration or finance degree or equivalent (FH, HF, BM, KV etc.), and demonstrated process optimisation, outsourcing and process management experience
- Willingness to expand and to gain experience in insurance. Prior insurance industry experience is a benefit but not a requirement
- Used and at ease working in an international environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (business fluent), German language skills are an advantage
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Advanced IT skills including Excel
- A keen interest to learn, develop and contribute as the role offers progression opportunities into Treasury / Risk Management
- An excellent team player with an ability to work well with teams in multiple locations and teams
- Independent, reliable, trustworthy and pro-active
- A quick-thinker, logical and have an analytical mind
- Able to execute assigned tasks and areas of responsibility independently
- Well-organized, able to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy as well as a right first-time mindset

- Available as soon as possible
