The Department of Biomedicine is a joint effort between the University of Basel and the University Hospitals Basel. It unites basic and clinical scientists to advance our understanding of health and disease and to develop pioneering therapies benefiting the lives of patients in areas of unmet need.

Your position
A postdoc position is available in the laboratory "Cardiovascular Molecular Imaging" of Professor Beat Kaufmann. The successful candidate will work on an Innosuisse funded project and develop a novel ultrasound contrast agent for the diagnosis of vascular inflammation.
Your profile
You hold a PhD in the life sciences and have strong experience in protein biochemistry and cell culture. Beyond this, LTK1 course, knowledge in histology, live cell microscopy and/or image analysis are a plus. In addition, you are interested in regulatory matters and willing to contribute to interactions with SwissMedic or FDA.
