The Forum’s ‘Business Strategy and Partner Services’ is a central strategy and operations unit that supports the engagement journey of over 900 global and regional business partners
We are currently seeking a temporary assignment as Lead, Events Services who will support the team across planning and delivery of Forum flagship events , applying the interests of Forum Partners.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
The Lead, Events Services will work across multiple internal teams. The role will entail direct interactions with the Forum’s Account Management, Global Industries , Centres , Digital and IT, Global Programming, Security, Marketing and Communications teams. The Event Services Lead will report to the Acting Head, Event Services.
Breakdown of main responsibilities
• Support the Event Services team in implementing their established processes across events and workstreams
• Serve as a business counterpart to internal Forum teams to advocate Forum Partners needs’ for our events and communications
• Events planning and delivery including communications, operations and admin support from the Forum Partners perspective. Events including Annual Meeting of the New Champions, Global Technology Retreat, Sustainable Development Impact Meetings, Partners Advisory Group and others.
• Execution of internal and external communications campaigns related to event engagement for business
• Support the business services inbox team
• Assist in event debrief exercises to identify trends and areas of improvement
The successful candidate will be assessed on
• Communication excellence in interacting with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribution to the operational efficiency of the team, including level of support in making the best use of digital tools and effectiveness in following Forum processes
• Autonomy on managing projects and event processes and delivery
• Capacity to deliver excellent events and Partner experience, as one team together with other business counterparts
Preferred Requirements and Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; project management, communications and/or other relevant certification is a strong plus
• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally in large scale project/event management
• Hands-on experience in world-class event design and delivery preferred, with successful track record of superior customer service
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and manage expectations of leadership with confidence
• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management skills, a strong work ethic, and possess a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel); strong knowledge of Salesforce, as well as project management tools and suites
• Ability to develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts and macros to streamline data and reporting processes
