The UCI World Cycling Centre (CMC) in Aigle is an outstanding multi-sport facility. It is used by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a training centre and features a 200m Velodrome, a BMX Racing Track, a Pumptrack and a BMX Freestyle Park. Inaugurated in 2002, it welcomes a large number of athletes from around the world who devote all their energy to their sports career. The UCI WCC trains and develops about 100 athletes a year in five Olympic disciplines (Road, Track, MTB, BMX and BMX Freestyle).

In your capacity as Road Coach, you will be responsible for the training, coaching and the management of the female road athletes who train and race for the UCI WCC Women’s Continental Team.
Main responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing training programmes in accordance with the athlete’s performance level
- Establishing the competition calendar in accordance with the athlete’s performance level
- Performance analysis in competition and training
- Detecting and correcting physical and technical flaws
- Identifying and recruiting new athletes
- Overseeing athletes across the performance pathway
- Supporting athletes in their development, both at a sporting level and in the management of their life as an athlete
- Supporting the team in competition in Switzerland and abroad
- Managing and organising the teams when they are travelling for competitions
- Managing travel logistics during competition.
Profile:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Road coach or as a high-level Road athlete
- Degree in sports science, training as a coach or equivalent
- Proficiency in the use of training software (Like Training Peaks, Intervals ICU, GoldenCheetah, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of current coaching methods
- Excellent knowledge of road techniques and tactics
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Comfortable with MS 365 tools and good writing skills
- First-aid training
- Perfect mastery of English and French, with Spanish an asset
- Flexibility in work management, willingness to travel abroad and work on weekends
