JOB OVERVIEW
Runs the warehouse operations on site managing the incoming and outgoing materials.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for goods in and goods out tracking and maintenance. Responsible for freight management. Ensures Health and Safety policies met at all times, including handling of materials in warehouse operations. Manages the tracking of materials in the ERP including liaising with the purchasing and planning functions. Responsible for ensuring that the warehouse is run in step with other warehouse facilities. Takes delivery, maintains stock and ensures an orderly warehouse and has an efficient operation.
Responsible for daily operations. Goods receipt, packaging, dispatch and supply of materials to local production line. Maintains master data in ERP system. Ensures stock optimisation. Plans and executes delivery of key warehouse KPIs.
KEY INTERACTIONS
With production, Research and development, logistics, purchasing and planning. Freight companies and suppliers. Other warehouses in the company.
LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS
Manages within own team. Managing team goals, objectives and KPIs. Managed own priorities and initiatives. Works within policy and monitors policy. Responsible for own competencies and addresses any gaps in capability.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Logistics and/or warehouse related education
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Organised and process oriented. Good interpersonal skills. Prioritising skills. Able to enjoy a results driven environment. Must be able to read and speak in English.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
At least four years of experience in a warehouse role. Experience using a materials tracking system. Experience using MS Excel.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
Minimal but some travel up to 5 % annually.
