Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantum Technology Specialist to join QZabre in developing innovative educational products focused on quantum technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quantum technologies, with a particular focus on solid state physics and qubit control. Prior direct research experience on these topic is required.
The candidate will be leading a development project for an educational kit based on NV centres in diamond with the goal of demonstrating crystallography, quantization of atomic levels via level spectroscopy, ad qubit manipulation on the Bloch Sphere. Direct past experience in education is a mandatory requirement.
The candidate will also be leading the development of a high sensitivity magnetometers for space domain applications. The candidate will have direct experience in the design, assembly and testing of optical and optomechanical systems to be used for space applications. This requirement is mandatory. Ideally the candidate has worked with several suppliers and is aware of the testing required for optical systems in space applications, including performance testing, reliability testing and environmental qualification. The candidate is familiar with laser technology and optics in general and has experience with Zeemax or similar software.
The offer is for an open end contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Educational Product Development:
o Lead the creation of educational resources, including learning modules, and experimental setups, to teach quantum physics, with an emphasis on NV centres in diamond.
o Design and implement hands-on educational tools that allow students and researchers to explore quantum technologies in a practical setting.
o Work closely with the developers and the sales team to bring the product to maturity and initiate commercialization.
2. Space Industry R&D:
o Leverage expertise in quantum technologies to drive research in the development of magnetometers for use in the space industry, specifically for satellites.
o Collaborate with aerospace, satellite, and space research teams to apply quantum sensing technologies in real-world space applications.
o Develop and present research findings to stakeholders, including industry partners in the space sector, contributing to the development of space missions.
Preferred Skills:
• Direct experience working with space agencies or in space-related industries.
• Knowledge of Quantum Physics with direct experience with solid state physics
• Familiarity with the current trends and challenges in quantum computing and quantum sensing
• Strong motivation to develop hands-on educational tools to demonstrate Quantum Physics in a simple way.
Application Process: To apply, reach out to us with your CV, a cover letter, and details of your research experience and achievements. Please make sure to submit evidence of the mandatory requirements detailed above.
We look forward to learning how your skills and experience can contribute to our research and products!
