What impact you'll make?
The Lead Demand Planner will maintain the demand signal within the segment by analyzing forward looking and/or historical models to represent expected global demand over the planning horizon for Flow parts. This scope incorporates input from Factories, Services and Repairs business lines and translates inputs into a consolidated global demand signal that informs the supply plan. The demand planner is a vital connection with the demand scheduler to fulfill current and future demand effectively as well as manage the phase-in/phase-out of change management. Build strong relationship with Order Management and collaborate with them to improve on the quality of the demand signal.
Job Description
What you’ll do
- Manage creation of demand signal that satisfies customer needs while aligning to safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets of the business.
- Support the expansion of the ‘consolidated buy’ project at Gas Power level.
- Support consolidation of the different business lines, production and repairs flow parts forecast
- Keep ERP systems and tools up to date and accurate to the current demand signal including incorporating the phase-in/phase-out, supercedure process. Factor in product life cycle.
- Working with Engineering on product changes and generate demand for excess parts
- Manage relationships with supply teams to proactively identify and resolve issues to support an effective business planning process.
- Track forecast accuracy and drive process improvement to optimize demand signal within the segment. Develop existing historical based forecasting tools and keep up-to-date forecast at a part number level.
- Communication & Coordination with Order Management (OM) team, Regional Commercial teams and Factory planners for demand planning.
- Follow-up with OM team on unusual, irregular demand, to make sure required QTYs are validated
- Ensure sales order date accuracy as critical input to demand plan
- Support finding the right place for consolidation based on aggregated forecast and total inventory
- Support ongoing projects in forecasting area
- Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for assigned scope.
- Use experience and expertise to solve problems.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in supply chain field
- Significant experience specifically in demand planning / forecasting
- Fluent English
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, act independently, and use sound judgment.
- System tool experience (and/or ERP)
- Committed to process improvement.

- APICS certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP)
- Familiarity with materials management disciplines including S&OP

- This is a hybrid role with three days remote and two days in the office.
