As Sensory Panel Leader (m/f/d, 80 - 100%) you will be part of the Sensory Insights Europe team, taking care of sensory projects related to the savoury category. You will be responsible for leading, reporting and often presenting Sensory Insights related to proactive and reactive projects in Europe. The results of these tests will support Marketing, Sales and Technical teams to create and promote winning savoury solutions to our customers. In this role, you will work closely with the savoury panel team members, local and regional team members from cross functional teams.
This role is based in Kemptthal.

You will:
- Lead the sensory tests with our expert panel for both our customer projects and our internal innovation initiatives
- Lead and conduct expert sensory panel sessions according to Givaudan best practices
- Collaborate with your local and European team members to coordinate the scheduling of all tests
- Maintain accurate records of all tasting sessions
- Identify the right testing methodology and design tests according to the project objectives
- Analyze results, write reports and deliver results to the key stakeholders for discriminative and descriptive sensory studies
- Maintain the performance and motivation of panelists. Moderate and provide appropriate training for the panel to keep their performance up to the required standards
- Be involved in the maintenance of our global flavour language
- Manage our internal panel
- Lead the other panels in Europe (remote) when needed and interact with other panel leaders to improve and align our European panel leading skills
- Organize Lab tours, Sense-It trainings and presentations about panel activities to our customers and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the recruitment and development of your sensory assistant when needed
- Be a vital part of the development and implementation of new methodologies and other innovations in the sensory team
You have:
- A social personality that easily connects with colleagues and, a natural networker with a strong team spirit
- Likes to take on responsibility and able to drive projects and lead groups of people
- A bachelor or master degree in Sensory, Food Science/technology or related fields
- +2 years of panel leading experience or equivalent is a plus
- Knowledge and interest in sensory techniques
- Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge
- Experience in Compusense and XL-stat is a plus
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English and German
