Project Coordinator (m/f/d)
Background:
The ID DTA department is seeking a proactive and organized Project Coordinator to support their clinical stage antibiotic drug development team in Basel, Switzerland. In this role, you will be part of a small team dedicated to supporting External Public-Private Partnerships in the Infectious Disease Therapeutic Area. Your contributions will support a program backed by the US Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
You will work closely with the Senior BARDA Alliance Manager at Roche Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development, as well as cross-functional project teams across Roche, to ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Program Support: Responsible for supporting program execution in compliance with the
contractual obligations of the Roche-BARDA partnership - Meeting Participation: Integrate into the Roche cross-functional project team to identify
BARDA-relevant activities and support the project team in fulfilling BARDA’s reporting
requirements, including OLAW, FWA, and reviewing and approving study costs - Project Plan Oversight: maintenance of a project plan for all associated activities
across the organization - Document Management: Coordinate with the project team to generate, maintain, and
disseminate key program documents to BARDA, such as study plans, protocols, reports,
CRO quotes in accordance with the contractual obligations - Financial Management: Gain an overview of the project budget, identify and track study
costs within BARDA’s scope, coordinate their review by BARDA, and work closely with
the Roche finance team to prepare monthly financial reports - Reporting Requirements: Maintain an overview of project progress to assist the project
team in preparing monthly BARDA technical reports and track progress against contract-
related project deliverables - Project Planning: support project teams with assembly of project plans and budgets for new projects
- Issue and Risk Monitoring: Monitor project progress and proactively report on project
issues and risks, assist in proposing solutions, and support mitigation strategies - Communication Management: Collaborate closely with the cross-functional project
team and help manage communications and expectations with internal stakeholders - Contribute to the maintenance and efficiency of partnership information and processes
with due attention to sensitivity of information as appropriate.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree (typically in a scientific or healthcare related discipline)
- A good understanding of pre-clinical drug development is essential
- Experience in the infectious diseases is desired
- Experience in managing projects funded by government grants is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Highly accountable and organized
- Diligent, proactive and detail-oriented with high-quality standards that meet US governmental expectations
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize daily
tasks effectively - Good people skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and a customer
service-oriented mindset - Some experience with alliances or governmental collaboration
- Familiarity with pre-clinical and health authority documentatio
- Understanding of basic contractual obligations
