Job Purpose
The role is a part of the Payroll & Time team at our Headquarters in Basel
The role will focus on the operational performance of all administrative Payroll and Time management tasks and service delivery to our employees, managers and other internal/external stakeholders in close collaboration with HR Shared Services team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Preparation and implementation of monthly salary runs including accurate and efficient recording of all wage-relevant changes in SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM
- Maintaining and controlling the employee master data in SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM in close collaboration with our HR Shared Services team
- Registration and deregistration of employees with social insurance institutions (leave of absence due to illness/accident/maternity and paternity leave) including calculation and recording of reductions at the end of continued salary payments
- Processing and recording of family allowances including gathering and submitting the required documents
- Contact person for employees, managers and HR Business Partners for social security and withholding tax related questions
- Ongoing recording and maintaining of time, absence & quota data in SAP HCM / SAP SuccessFactors, as well as the contact person for our employees and managers in absences and time management related questions
- Handling of electronic personnel filing
- Support in year-end work (control and sending of employee salary statements, creating enclosures for cross border commuters etc.)
- Participation in the processing of the annual salary and short-term-incentive round
- Electronic Payroll and Time process documentation
- Compilation of officially required statistics
Requirements needed
Education
- Commercial education combined with experience in Payroll
- Specialist certificate in Social Insurance or/and Payroll is an advantage
Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience within Payroll
- Sound knowledge of Swiss social security, tax scheme and Swiss labor law
- Proficient user of HR databases/ payroll and time systems (e.g. SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors)
- Very good knowledge of MS Office 365
- Fluency in German and English, French knowledge is an advantage
