Risk Analytics Lead
Job Description
In this role, you leverage your understanding of the risk management business and data strategy to provide thought-leadership and shape an effective data & analytics ecosystem that supports your business stakeholders in achieving their ambition. You drive the delivery of the products in your respective area hands on, guiding your implementation teams on the why, the what and the how of the delivery. You take ownership of creating functional product designs which you and your team validate using proof of concepts. You take accountability for the product backlog, contribute to the establishment of delivery frameworks and lead the delivery team in the day-to-day implementation. You contribute hands-on to the implementation, building data pipelines and applications. You take charge of creating product roadmaps and project plans and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analytics Leadership: You collaborate with senior business stakeholders to translate business and data strategies into a comprehensive portfolio of analytics products. You ensure alignment between the product area vision and SCORs strategic objectives.
- Product Shaping: You own the product lifecycle from conceptualization to implementation, prioritizing and sequencing product initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and resource capacity. You drive the high-level product design and validate the hypotheses.
- Team Leadership: You oversee and mentor a cross-functional delivery team, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and project management to deliver on time and within scope.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You drive the collaboration between the business and delivery teams, ensuring continuous feedback loops and alignment on objectives. You build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across business functions and technical teams.
- Data & Analytics Expertise: You act as a key leader understanding the data & analytics opportunities of your area. You leverage this knowledge to shape data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact to the business.
Qualifications
- Product Delivery Experience: 7+ years of experience in analytics product delivery, preferably in Re-/Insurance, with multi-year experience leading cross-functional delivery teams.
- Product Management Expertise: Multi-year experience shaping effective analytics products
- Reinsurance Knowledge: Deep experience delivering analytical solutions in at least one of the following areas: P&C Reinsurance, L&H Reinsurance, Insurance, Finance, Risk Management
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to conceptualize and implement powerful, high-quality analytics products, preferably in Palantir Foundry or similar technologies, and providing technical leadership through-out implementation. Strong engineering expertise building data pipelines in PySpark and applications (workshop, TypeScript).
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing delivery teams and leading large, complex initiatives with multiple, senior stakeholders. Experience in managing both product and technical aspects is key.
- Education: Quantitative bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g. Physics, Data Science, Engineering) or equivalent
