Mycrobez, a Basel-based clean-tech startup, is revolutionizing the packaging- and construction- industry by supplying a pricecompetitive and completely biodegradable material-alternative to Styrofoam®, Medium-density fiber boards, and plastics: mushroom-based composites (mycelium composites). They achieve this with their innovative bioprocess and by automating the whole production process. Mycrobez is in collaboration with many renowned research institutes and universities, as well as with a multitude of globally leading companies in their respective fields, and is supported by the «Migros Pionierfonds». The growing diverse team of 18 motivated and curious people aims to achieve their goals by operating out of their custom facilities in Basel.
As a Polymechanic at Mycrobez, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, by commissioning new machines, making repairs and making sure the machines adhere to national and international standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repair, and optimization of production equipment and machinery.
- Implement inspection and maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Collaborate with the team to continuously improve production processes.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards.
Requirements:
- Completed training as a Polymechanic or comparable qualification in mechanics/electronics.
- Solid knowledge of maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues in complex machinery.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies. Team-oriented, reliable, and solution-focused approach to work.
