Summary:
The candidate will partner with the MMC CEO on the regional strategy design, will act as an enabler of the business priorities, will ensure timely delivery and execution of cross-business strategies and initiatives, , support collaboration across the region and set and execute the CEO’s communication agenda. This role requires strong communication and engagement skills, strategic insight, project management expertise, versatility, execution speed, and the ability to influence and lead in a dynamic, multinational environment. The job entails significant travel and all-round availability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the CEO’s office, ensuring the effective prioritization of time and resources.
* Lead critical initiatives, including tracking milestones, ensuring deliverables, and resolving bottlenecks.
* Coordinate and manage the preparation of governance meetings and executive-level presentations, board materials, as well as internal communications.
* Collect insights and draft Weekly Update to MMC SLT
2. Strategic Support and Advisory:
* Serve as a sounding board, offering data-driven insights and suggestions on key decisions and initiatives
* Partner with the CEO, the central Strategy team and other stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the company’s vision and objectives in Europe.
* Ensure alignment between the CEO’s goals and the broader organizational priorities across Marsh McLennan’s businesses (Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter, and Oliver Wyman).
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
* Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal stakeholders, including regional leadership teams, business unit heads, and corporate functions
* Act as a filter for issues before reaching CEO, and escalate when needed
* Represent the CEO in internal and external forums when appropriate, maintaining high levels of professionalism and diplomacy.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to foster collaboration and alignment.
4. Project Management and Execution:
* Manage high-priority projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
* Execute or oversee trouble-shooting initiatives at short notice
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and enhance organizational efficiency.
5. Leadership and Team Support:
* Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and junior staff working on CEO office initiatives.
* Support the CEO in fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and high performance across the organization.
