Senior System Engineer

Are you skilled in designing and managing secure. scalable environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with multiple technical stakeholders? Here's what you'll do:

• Evaluate, design, roll out and manage Azure-based infrastructure and applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient
• Develop and maintain configurations for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other associated services
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers and other technical stakeholders to gather technical requirements and ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO/IEC 27001
• Design and implement security measures to protect computer systems and network infrastructure
• Utilize Azure Security Center and other tools to detect, investigate, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive backup/restore strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Lead the response to critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
• Provide tier-3 support and work with other IT teams to resolve complex problems
• Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and usage metrics
• Communicate progress, risks and dependencies to the team leader or manager
• Contribute to strategic planning for IT infrastructure
  

This is what you'll need:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system engineering or related roles, with significant focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
• Language: English
