Process Engineer (f/m/d)
Our engineering department is a close-knit team of more than 30 employees that covers all engineering aspects in-house. We operate like a family, supporting each other, and are composed of regional and international specialists. Our team communicates in both German and English. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on operation, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing processes within a pharmaceutical environment. This includes activities related to process development, optimization, and troubleshooting. As a Package Owner in investment projects, you will oversee manufacturing processes within larger project scopes. Your role will involve troubleshooting and emergency response to ensure uninterrupted operations. Additionally, you will lead improvement projects and support the integration of new technologies.
What you can expect
- Operate and maintain manufacturing processes, ensuring the continuous and efficient production within the facility
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on process equipment
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes to meet regulatory and operational requirements for reliability and efficiency
- Lead projects to improve system performance, including energy efficiency and resource usage reductions
- Act as the Package Owner for process systems in large-scale investment projects, overseeing the planning, procurement, installation, and qualification of process equipment
- Run the planning and development of Change Control for processes into a Veeva workflow
- Manage process system installations, from design to commissioning, qualification, and monitoring, ensuring timely project delivery
- Ensure all process systems comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards
- Provide hands-on technical support for troubleshooting and resolving process system issues, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal disruption to production
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for any system deviations
Your skills and qualifications
- Academic education (university, university of applied sciences) in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, biology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical technology, chemistry or comparable or extensive professional experience in the field of bio-pharmaceutical technology
- Experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry under GMP production conditions
- Experience in commissioning process systems and risk methodologies
- Written and spoken German and English
- Initiative, ability to work under pressure, decision-making ability, judgement, independence, conscientious way of working
- Willingness to be available for on-call duties to respond to emergencies or system failures outside of normal working hours, ensuring rapid troubleshooting and resolution
- Good communication skills, team-oriented working style and a high sense of responsibility complete your profile
