In short
On is looking for a business-oriented, pragmatic, and proactive patent professional to join the On Legal Team in Zurich, Switzerland reporting to the Head of Intellectual Property. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of independently and efficiently managing a large, diverse, and complex workload, while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating topics; someone with experience from both law firm and in-house who will serve as a subject matter expert and support our product teams.
Your Mission
- Collaborate closely with product development teams, including product developers and designers and material experts, serving as a key point of contact for all patent-related day-to-day inquiries.
- Review and analyze our product pipeline from both a patent protection and freedom-to-operate perspective, identifying potential IP risks and opportunities in collaboration with the other team members.
- Conduct prior art searches and landscape analyses to assess the patentability of inventions and identify potential infringement issues.
- Collaborate with product teams to drive patent protection strategies, guide the technical experts through the invention disclosure process, and support invention harvesting activities.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and identify potential IP threats and opportunities.
