The Global Communications Group is the central Forum team dedicated to communications with the public, media, stakeholders and staff in relation to the Forum’s mission. Through multiple channels, the Group is responsible for communicating the work of the Forum and its constituents, reaching, growing, engaging and inspiring diverse and interested audiences.
Why we are recruiting
The Group is consolidating its strategy and is composed of four key functions: Communication Strategy and Coordination, Public Engagement, Media Engagement, and Stakeholder Engagement. It is searching for a Lead, Email Marketing Technology within the Stakeholder Engagement team, to support with project management, lead technology implementations, drive enhanced analytics capabilities and provide operational support for execution of institutional communications across a variety of Forum activities. Its objective is to generate seamless, consistently high-value, personalized email communications to Forum Stakeholders.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
The role will report to the Head, Email Marketing. The candidate will work closely with our internal stakeholders in Event Strategy and Engagement, Partner- and Member Engagement teams, Marketing Content, Business Operations and Information Technology.
Key responsibilities
Management of marketing technology projects

Utilize project management skills to deliver campaigns effectively and efficiently.

Key lead on the technical deliveries of Marketing Cloud and Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) to implement new email solutions, journeys, and tools as part of the annual project roadmap including hands-on development support.

Run workshops for new initiatives, developing the project from insights gathering, scoping of requirements, until final implementation.

Design project plans and present to key senior stakeholders and leadership for project sign off and budget sponsoring.

Set up cross-functional collaboration streams to coordinate with various functions from the Global Communication Group and internal technology teams to ensure smooth campaign execution.

Serve as the marketing technology champion to identify issues and areas for improvement, as well as recommending solutions and proactively contributing to the team’s roadmap.
Analytics

Enhance the analytics capabilities of the Forum email marketing activities and manage the full technical delivery of new dashboards by streamlining various data sources to one central analytic output (Datorama, DataCloud, GA4, Tableau).

Support the data architect expert and provide recommendations and solutions for the Forum’s ever evolving CRM platform and email marketing platform.

Manage the weekly reporting of email campaigns through automated reports while covering key highlights, and create new reports as needed for the Central Email Marketing team as well as for the pool of Forum decentralized communications experts.

Assure pro-active data analysis and monitoring of campaign metrics (email volume, email engagement), and present in a timely manner the evolution of email performance with a cadence of quarterly, half-year and annual reporting, with the ability to contextualize trends.

Organize periodic email marketing performance meetings to share data-driven insights to allow for collaborative data-driven decisions aimed at optimizing email engagement strategies and setting new KPIs (email journeys, institutional campaigns, newsletters).
Email Marketing Operations Support

Manage end-to-end email creation and execution of various high-level Forum communications including events, newsletters and institutional messages.

Manage the emergency communications protocols and setup

Implement an A/B testing protocols for high-level event and newsletter email campaigns, and implement outcomes.

Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, audience segmentation, and other aspects of email execution as required

Support our testing protocols and email rendering tools to continuously improve and maintain top quality communications across various email clients
Preferred requirements and experience
-
Advanced university degree in business, computer information systems, digital marketing or similar field
-
5 years experience in digital marketing, including setting up Automations / Journey Building / Trigger Sends / Mobile Push/ AB testing Campaigns

Proven experience as a Salesforce and Marketing Cloud developer including Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) with certifications

Expert level in HTML/ CSS and Photoshop specific to email pages, Script Language (SQL) / writing queries, strong AMPscript and Pardot development expertise.

Strong track record in audience and data segmentation based on complex and large CRM environment.

Experience with Salesforce and in particular, API integrations, Salesforce reports and Analytics, recommendation engines, AgentForce or other AI applications

Ability to work with industry leading analytical tools with a required proficiency in GA4, Tableau, DataCloud etc

Strong analytics skills with experience in performance marketing and contextualizing analytical reports
