Audit Operations
The Audit Operations team sits at the heart of the internal audit function, we are on our own journey to evolving our approach, with the aim of supporting the global audit team to get better and better at delivering our purpose and strategy, while growing at the same time. The team’s role is to set up and continuously improve what we as an audit function do, how we work, develop and grow together. Driving meaningful change.
In line with this the Audit Operations team has a mandate to develop a data driven and digitally enabled function, setting the function up for the future.
Your role
Group Audit is embarking on a significant and multi-year IT modernization programme replacing the existing legacy estate, updating the Data strategy and framework, building a data layer, ensuring data is front and center the new environment.
The Senior Manager, IT and Data role provides a unique opportunity to project manage and deliver these changes, working alongside the Group Audit COO, Audit Director IT Centre of Excellence and Audit Director Data, Analytics & AI. The Senior Manager, IT and Data will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery, set up and adoption of the new environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Internal Audit, IT and data and have project and change management experience.
What you will do
Your main responsibilities will include:
Program Management

Manage the IT modernization project from start to finish with the Group Technology team.

Use an MVP-based, agile approach for design, testing, and implementation.

Improve tools after initial implementation for full functionality.

Collaborate with Group Audit stakeholders to ensure the solution meets current and future needs and ensure it is user-friendly.

Work with experts to build a data layer, including a GA data lake, and ensure the appropriate setup to enable data sharing across functions.

Ensure smooth data transition to the new tools without loss of availability.

Provide updates to program and governance forums.

Phase out existing tools and ensure existing data is retained where needed.
Change Management

Create and implement strategies for smooth adoption of the new solution.

Communicate with Group Audit to ensure understanding and buy-in.

Design and deliver training with the champion community.
Maintain existing environment

Manage and maintain the current IT and Data infrastructure, ensuring all systems are operational and performing optimally.

Implement and maintain robust controls and procedures to safeguard our data.

Take ownership of the existing data and MI (including power BI dashboarding), that supports reporting and running the function and ensure its timely maintenance and update

Manage relationships with internal service providers and external vendors, ensuring service levels and contract compliance.
What you bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

8+ years of relevant working experience across Internal Audit, project or IT infrastructure management

Strong knowledge of Internal Audit functions and experience working in Internal Audit, IT audit experience preferred

Experience in project management, particularly in the context of technology tool modernization and implementation

Proven hands-on expertise in managing and maintaining complex IT and data infrastructures. Proficient in creating, maintaining and using dashboards via Microsoft Power BI.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving objectives

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Ability to manage senior stakeholders up to an executive level

Very good interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships and influence across various parties
