3-YEAR PHD POSITION TO WORK TOWARDS HOST-PATHOGEN INTERACTIONS

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated PhD candidate to work within a young international team in the framework of the host-Mycoplasma interactions. Earliest starting date is March 2025.
TasksWithin this project, you will investigate host pathogen interactions of different mycoplasmas and their animal hosts. The work will include synthetic genomics techniques and ex vivo assays and be aligned to SNF funded research activities.

Requirements
oA MSc degree in the field of biological sciences (veterinary medicine, microbiology or biochemistry)
oExcellent communication skills and curiosity
We offer
Our institute is situated just a few minutes away from the center of the UNESCO world heritage old city of Bern. The remuneration is in accordance with the Swiss regulations. PhD candidates have to enroll in the Graduate School of Cellular and Biomedical Sciences (https://www.gcb.unibe.ch')) at the University of Bern.
