Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Controller to join our finance team at our headquarters in Freienbach, Switzerland. This role reports directly to the Group CFO and will support operations as well as management iacross the group n a sales driven project business environment while leading the introduction and utilization of Power BI to enhance data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, expertise in financial analysis, and a passion for optimizing performance through technology and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, margins, and KPIs to provide actionable insights to the management of the group and subsidiaries
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee project financial performance, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, the sales team, and management to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Further develop the reporting functionalities of the existing ERP system (Abacus) at our entity in Switzerland to provide meaningful information for various stakeholders within the organization.
- Work closely with the Group CFO in the budget and forecast process and support monthly financial reporting.
Power BI Implementation and Utilization:
- Lead the introduction of Power BI as a core tool for financial and operational reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends.
- Train team members and stakeholders across the group on Power BI to ensure effective adoption and usage.
- Continuously improve reporting capabilities by identifying new use cases and integrating additional data sources.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and operations, to drive performance improvements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management, providing insights and recommendations for achieving strategic objectives.
- Contribute to the overall financial planning and analysis process, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or CPA/CMA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in financial controlling, especially sales and project controlling.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation and data integration.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Abacus is a plus).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
