The opportunity
Are you passionate about technical project management and eager to make a significant impact in the field of gas insulated switchgear (GIS) systems? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Technical Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing GIS projects, ensuring they meet customer requirements and specifications, and leading technical customer meetings.
Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical advice, developing solutions, and coordinating activities across various departments. If you have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, experience in high voltage/substation/switchgear engineering, and a knack for analytical and independent work, we want to hear from you!
How you’ll make an impact

Technical project management of GIS systems, including processing and support during the offer and processing phase until the end of on-site assembly

Design and execution of GIS projects according to customer requirements and specifications, including preparation of contractual primary engineering documents in cooperation with various departments such as Sales, Procurement (SCM), Project Management, Planning, and on-site assembly

Leading technical customer meetings and negotiating at a professional level, providing technical advice and developing solutions with and at the customer

Occasional travel to customer and/or site meetings during feasibility and project execution phases

Coordination of required steel and secondary engineering activities, ensuring technical and quality compliant solutions and technical coordination of activities with upstream and downstream departments

Technical project handling and ordering of required GIS material as per project milestones, adhering to as-sold project commercial deliverables and supporting the commercial Project Manager with up-sales
Your background
-
Technical qualification in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering, with technical knowhow and knowledge in high voltage/substation/switchgear engineering

Analytical work methodology, independent, engaged, and cost-conscious, with at least 2 years of experience in technical project management

Experienced in the use of CAD in 3D and 2D, as well as Microsoft Office, and possibly SAP system knowledge

Independent, well-structured, and reliable way of working, with self-control of activities and a distinct ability to work in a team

Good communication skills to lead technical meetings both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
