Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented technician to join our team. The Technician will assist in polymer production, laboratory work, characterization of polymer and testing membrane properties. This role is essential for the development of innovative membrane technologies for green hydrogen production. The full-time-equivalent of the job is 80%-100%.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with experiments related to the scale-up of polymer production and membrane casting.
- Prepare and process samples for testing and analysis.
- Perform polymer and membrane characterization, including mechanical and physico-chemical properties testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Record and analyze experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
- Support the development of new membrane formulations and polymer processing methods.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications and skills
1. CFC (Swiss federal certificate of capacity) or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
2. 1-3 years of experience in laboratory work, preferably involving polymers and membrane technology.
3. Strong problem-solving as well as organizational skills and willingness to learn new techniques.
4. Effective communication and teamwork skills. 5. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
6. Authorization to work in Switzerland.
