Our client, a leading telecommunications company in Bern, is hiring a Network Operations Center (NOC) Team Lead & Engineer to oversee and drive their global operations. This permanent role offers a leadership opportunity within a sustainably expanding company.
As a NOC Team Lead & Engineer, you will
- Lead and work hands-on with a team of engineers to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise mobile and IPX network operations
- Manage Cisco ASR, Nexus, Arista switches, Fortinet firewalls, and IP networking (BGP, MPLS, OSPF, IPSec, VPNs)
- Oversee IPX, roaming, signaling (M2PA, M3UA), STP, DRA, DRF, and VAS platforms
- Ensure network security, performance, and high availability across multiple sites
- Use Zabbix and other monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain network stability and security
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on network operations or engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in mobile networks, IPX and roaming
- Expertise in routing, switching, security and signalling protocols
- Experience managing high-performance, carrier-grade networks
- Fluent in English (German is a plus), EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss working permit
