BAT DBS PAKISTAN IS LOOKING FOR TEAM LEAD – PLANNING & REPORTING
JOB TITLE: Team Lead – Planning & Reporting
FUNCTION: Finance
LOCATION: Lahore, Pakistan
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The position entails overseeing the preparation of statutory and management accounting reports, ensuring the accuracy and reasonableness of financial reports such as financial statements and information packages supporting decision-making points. The primary goal of this role is to support business objectives by delivering high-quality general accounting analysis and comprehensive business assistance to end markets.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Act as an independent contributor responsible for a segment of the Record to Report function, encompassing General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Reconciliations, Month End Close, Statutory & Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, and Product Costing data integrity and quality.
- Execute specific tasks delegated by the line manager to ensure the integrity, quality, and reasonableness of the management and statutory reporting process.
- Assist in preparing various submissions for the management reporting unit and meet legal entity reporting requirements within specified deadlines and frequency.
- Identify significant movements using pre-established templates.
- Conduct analytical reviews on the financial statements.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Possession of an Accounting qualification
- Strong Communication Skills
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
- Proficiency in understanding the impact of accounting processes and practices.
- Competence in analyzing reports, identifying issues and challenges within report functionalities and data.
- Application of relevant financial skills and knowledge
- Familiarity and proficiency with relevant finance tools and systems, including BI/BPC, SAP, or ERP equivalents.
- Capability to drive projects and process improvements, and manage a remote/virtual customer base model.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in identifying risks and implementing controls
BENEFICIAL
- Proficient in computer applications including SAP, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated track record of implementing improvement initiatives and showcasing efficiency enhancements.
