Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect – Team Lead to drive the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. This role involves leading a team of talented cloud engineers and architects, shaping the company’s cloud strategy, and ensuring best practices are followed across all cloud initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge across major cloud platforms (with a main focus on Azure), exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in architecting enterprise-grade cloud solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Strategy

Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures across multi-cloud environments

Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Lead cloud adoption and migration strategies, including hybrid cloud solutions.

Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services based on business and technical requirements.
Team Leadership & Project Management

Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring project deadlines, quality standards, and business objectives are met.

Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support professional development within the team.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Data, Application Development) to ensure seamless cloud integration.

Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
Security & Compliance
-
Implement robust security protocols, ensuring cloud solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards (GDPR, NIS2, etc.).

Collaborate with security teams to enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM), data protection, and threat mitigation strategies.

Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain a secure cloud environment.
Optimization & Automation
-
Drive cost optimization strategies, including resource right-sizing and cloud cost monitoring.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
-
Automate deployment pipelines, scaling solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
-
Present architecture designs and strategies to executive leadership and technical stakeholders.

Provide technical guidance during RFP/RFI processes and vendor evaluations.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies, recommending innovations that align with business goals.
Profile
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

5+years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
-
3+ years of team leadership or people management experience.

Proven track record of designing and implementing complex cloud solutions in Azure and AWS (multi-cloud experience preferred).

Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is required

Additional certifications (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Security) are a plus.
