Your Challenge
 

• Ensure that letter of credit transactions are in conformity with client instructions and the Bank’s credit/compliance procedures
• You will be responsible for Letters of Credits (Doc LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and Bank Guarantees
• You will present and follow up on transactional financing matters with the financing banks
• You will Issue, amend and pay the Import Doc LCs, SBLCs and guarantees
• You will Check and approve of LC presentations and claims under Export and Import Doc LCs, SBLCs plus Guarantees
• Ensure timely processing of sensitive transactions and report to management any unusual or intricate transactions requiring review, discussion and or approval
• Provide assistance/support to clients and corporate groups on technical aspects and practices of letters of credit
• Prepare and execute required letter of credit documents
• Review daily maturity report to ensure action has been taken on applicable, for maturing transactions
• Ensure amendment notices/confirmations are completed and forwarded to clients or commercial group by the L/C Administrator
• Coordinate clearing/reconciling of open cash items and daily exceptions
• Ensure that Letters of Credit file contains relevant supporting documentation i.e. copy of executed letter of credit/ amendments and completed compliance checklist, when required
• Ensure all documentation for Documentary and Standby Letter of Credits are compliant
• You will negotiate and approve of the fees with the financing bank
• Escalate any compliance matters to both Management and Compliance
• Review past due fee report for LC portfolio to insure accuracy and timely presentation for management reporting

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Finance, Economy or similar
• Or commercial education with a further education
• 3-5 years of experience in Trade Finance within a Trading company or for a bank
• Broad knowledge of Operations, Letter of Credits, Guarantees and other
• Excellent IT skills (Excel
• Fluent in English, German would be an advantage
• If you have strong contacts with European banks, this would be an advantage
• Good technical and practical knowledge of UCP 600/ISP 98/URC 522 and Incoterms
• Very flexible, committed, fast learner, teamplayer, loyal, very precise way of working
• Working under pressure, resilient, reliable
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in multi-cultural teams, teamplayer
• Swiss, B-Permit or similar
