Are you ready to lead and innovate in the dynamic world of Telecommunications? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as (Junior) Tech Lead - Technician Service Applications. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing parts of our technician service applications for all brands and products. Tasks:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance in design, architecture, operations and best practices in software development to the (external) development teams
- Technical ownership: Own tech vision & decisions and initiate decision-making discussions; Own relevant story boards, repos, codebase, CI/CD pipeline, DevOps of the team's infrastructure, documentation of code, processes and systems
- Planning & design: Break down and plan software delivery, including high-level design, and effort estimates for all work items
- Team growth: Contribute to the team's growth through technical interviews, onboarding, ongoing mentoring and participation in technical & organizational improvement initiatives
- Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions on time; Run team sync meetings to identify blockers, communicate cross-team
- Development & code review: Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and security, support development team by contributing own code (ca. 10-20% of time)
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of practical experience in the Telecommunication, Network or Internet sector
- 2-5 years of practical experience in software engineering, preferably with experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, Shell and common frameworks (e.g., Springboot, GraphQL, Vaadin, REST)
- Proven track record of technical leadership & ownership in complex IT architectures and in collaboration with external development teams
- Demonstrated ability to champion best practices in software development, ensuring code quality and security
- Technical understanding of telecommunications networks to drive requirement definition with Network department colleagues
- Fluency in English and preferably German
