Huntsman has an opportunity for an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our Monthey site in Switzerland in the Advanced Materials division and lead key initiatives that will shape the future of our production site.

Role Responsibilities :
As Operational Excellence Manager in Monthey, you will:
- Be responsible for establishing and developing Site and asset Operational Excellence (OE) roadmap, enhancing OE culture.
- Drive performance improvement to develop a High-Performance Organization ensuring People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost are embedded in our Lean processes and tools.
- Act as a change agent through stakeholders’ management, earning buy-in & support to improve organizational effectiveness and competitiveness.
- Accompany the Monthey Site in its digitalization journey.
- Scope and lead various projects of strategic and tactical importance.
- Input into Site strategy to align & prioritize lean/CI initiatives & project objectives.
- Mentor, coach and educate lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, TPM, SMED, VSM, Standard Work, DMAIC, Problem Solving, Visual Management … to relevant colleagues across all levels.
- Work with the teams to uncover and assess lean opportunities, helping to prioritize those projects with greatest benefit and support delivery with well executed sustainable steps.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.
What we are looking for:
Education
- University degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or equivalent.
Experiences
- Professional experience in managing projects/programs (min. 5 years) in a manufacturing environment. Certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in leading change within multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience in operations management. Experience in chemical manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of Lean application and deployment,
- Excellent understanding of Continuous Improvement Lean Concepts: Problem Solving, 5S, SMED, TPM, VSM…
Know-how/skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Influencing skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Organizational and planning skills.
- Fluent in English and French, knowledge of German and other languages is a plus.
